Some punks broke into the chapel

Hello family how is everything goin? Everything here is awesome. We had a awesome pday today. This morning we woke up and all the zone came to our chapel to have breakfast. So we get there and we enter and there are like 2 broken chairs and a fire distinguisher there on the floor. Someone had broken into the chapel. And this isn’t a regular chapel back in the states, it is really secure. If you want to look at my old pics, there are a couple pics of my past chapels. They have a 15 foot fence around it with spikes at the top. Then every window has bars on it and the front door is very secure. It has a key that is costs 30 dollars to open it. So what the punks did is they took some kind of drill and went through the cement in the back of the chapel to get in. They were going for the clerks office. But also the clerks office here is a lot more secure than in the states. It has a metal door that when it locks metal bars come out into the wall. Then all the way around the room is a cement wall that is a good 4 feet thick. Then there is another room inside the clerks office that is like a big safe. That is where the punks were trying to get into. It has 2 tvs, dvd players and the safe with all the tithing money. And since yesterday was fast and testimony they chose this morning to break in when the most money would be in there. It is sad to say but we are sure that there was a member or less active involved in the robbery. Thankfully they weren’t able to get it. They got away with 2 computers from the family history center but not much else. They just caused a lot of damage… it is really sad but the lords work will not be frustrated!!!

Ya well we decided to call the cops and go to another chapel for the activity. So we went there and had a sweet breakfast with breakfast burritos. Afterwards we went out back and played volley ball. Then we took taxies and went to “las rocas de santo domingo” a beach that is really really rich. (the houses look like those in the states.) so we went to the beach and ran around in the sand and took pics and at the end we had a testimony meeting there on the beach. It was a really fun experience.

Yesterday we saw a miracle. So a month ago we started teaching maricela, the convert that is always helping us. When we started teaching her, her mom didn’t want anything to do with the church, she didn’t even let us enter in the house. Little by little we have been teaching her and yesterday she came to the chapel. Oh man it was so cool to see her there. She said that she liked it a lot and she felt the spirit really strong. It is so cool to see how different she is now. She is reading the book of mormon every day and praying. We will see how everything goes but right now everything with her is awesome.

So this week i was in the house of a member and they offered me empanadas and so i ate one. But i guess it was made wrong… So the next morning i wake 6 and rush to the bathroom ready to puke my guts out. Which i did. I puked all my lunch and the empanada up. I felt like crap. So all that day i was sicker than heck. But we had to go to lunch so that my comp could eat so we went to the chapel cause the relief society was having a activity there. So we go in and lunch is all ready and there are like 15 women sitting there as we walk in. We sit down and I tell them that i am sick and i am not going to be able to eat… What a mistake. There were 15 mothers there and 15 different opinions on how they were going to make me feel better. I asked for coca cola cause mom always told me when i was sick to drink coca, and they just exploded. Some started saying how it is against the word of wisdom, some said that it was the best thing i could have and others said that i was going to die if i drank coca cola… Oh man it was like world war 3 in there. So my comp hurried and ate and we went running out of there while we still could. Man was it an experience.

One last thing before i end. This week i was thinking all week long on what i should teach my district in district meeting. So i was praying and praying and thinking and the subject of obedience kept coming to my mind. But i kept saying no no i am not going to teach that. Everyone knows what obedience is and how important it is and that they need to be obedient. The first thing that they teach us in the mtc is obedience and they don’t need to hear it again. But that subject just kept coming and coming to my mind over and over again. So i decided i would teach it but i didn’t understand why. So Wednesday morning we get to district meeting and 2 of the senor comps in my district come up to me and tell me that their comps are having a lot of trouble with being obedient… Haha wow it was such a cool experience cause i was so ready. I have a strong testimony of revelation. It exists and it doesn’t matter who you are you can have it.

But ya that was my week. I hope that you guys had a good one. I love you all so much and i am excited to talk to you this Sunday. Have a awesome week ok?

Love
